PROPUESTA MUSICAL.  EDUARDO CAICEDO MEJÍA

Como la propuesta se fundamenta en la presencia de un ser títere místico, que difunde su mensaje de ESTAR VIVO al público, en ciertos momentos la música será un elemento integrado de las acciones simbólicas que éste realiza para transmitir su experiencia y enseñanzas. La propuesta musical parte de referentes que desarrollan el sonido y la música como medio para crear atmósferas que estimulen estados de conciencia hacia percepciones iluminadas de la realidad. Referentes como la música ritual creada por los monjes budistas tibetanos, música compuesta e interpretada para la sanación y para la estimulación de chakras que buscan abrir canales en el cuerpo humano hacia el despertar de la conciencia. Este tipo de música está generalmente ligada a múltiples voces que a través de armónicos irradian escenarios de transformación en el ser humano. Como complemento a estos referentes, la propuesta musical se basa en la experiencia y especialidad del músico invitado al proyecto (ver hoja de vida), la percusión. Enfocada hacia los instrumentos percutivos como el vibráfono y la marimba, la propuesta musical pretende trabajar las melodías desde el ritmo y pulso del cuerpo humano, sintonizando vibraciones entre el ser místico, los aprendices y el público que permitan que las imágenes y la música se fundan en un solo despertar, eliminando la idea de “acompañamiento musical" a las acciones, proponiendo al público la experiencia mística del ser títere en el escenario.

Comienzan a sonar ruidos que generan la sensación de caos que poco a poco se van ordenando a partir de que el escenario se ordena con los muebles y enseres que se van colocando en él. Tambores muy graves resuenan y se mezclan con los sonidos caóticos dándole un aire misterioso y expectante al ambiente. La marimba y el vibráfono comienzan el tema que estará de fondo durante el primer discurso de ser Místico. Este tema es la base musical de la obra. Los tambores son los aprendices que generan la conexión con la animación de ser Místico. En la medida en que avanza la obra, el tema se desarrolla en múltiples maneras hasta separarse en dos partes en las cuales estarán representadas las dos cabezas de ser Místico cuando éstas se hacen presentes en la escena. El pájaro enjaulado será representado por la melódica y el salvaje por el vibráfono, un silbido y una voz de mujer. Cada tema para cada personaje será representado por un instrumento o conjunto de instrumentos que estará definido por su carácter (tristeza, felicidad, nostalgia, etc.) El tema de ser Místico se va transformando para apoyar la idea de cambio constante.

As the proposal is based on the presence of a puppet being mystical, who spreads his message of being alive to the public, music will be integrated to symbolic actions he does  to transmit his experience and lessons. The musical approach starts by being inspired by references that apply sound and music as a means to create atmospheres that encourage states of consciousness to enlightened perceptions of reality. References as ritual music created by Tibetan Buddhist monks, composed and performed music for healing and chakra stimulation seeking to open channels in the human body for the awakening of consciousness. In addition to these references, the musical approach is based on the experience and expertise of the musician invited to work in the project, percussion. Focused on percussive instruments like the vibraphone and marimba, the musical melodies intend to work from the rhythm and pulse of the human body, synchronizing vibrations between mystical being, apprentices and the public to allow images and music turn into an awakening for all, eliminating the idea of ​​"musical accompaniment" to the actions, proposing to the public the mystical experience on stage puppeteering.

In the start sound and noises that generate the sense of chaos which slowly are ordered at the same time as  the furniture and fixtures are placed in order on stage. Drums resonate very serious and mixed with chaotic sounds giving a mysterious and expectant environment to what is about to happen. The marimba and vibraphone will begin to appear as the background during the first speech of mystical being. This theme is the musical basis of the work. The drums are the apprentices who generate connection through the animation of the mystical being.  As the work progresses, the theme is developed in multiple ways to be separated in two parts which represent the two heads of the mystical being when they are present in the scene. The caged bird is represented by the melodic and wild sound of the vibraphone, a whistle and a woman's voice. Each theme for each character is represented by an instrument or set of instruments that will be defined by his character (sadness, happiness, nostalgia, etc.) Mystic's theme will be transformed to support the idea of ​​constant change.

RESULTADOS ESPERADOS / EXPECTED RESULTS

      - Una puesta en escena que produzca en cada uno de los espectadores nuevas sensaciones y apreciaciones frente al fenómeno llamado títere. / A staging that produces new sensations and judgments, in each of the spectators, towards the phenomenon called puppeteering.

      - Una obra de gran calidad que pueda circular en los diferentes teatros y festivales de teatro de la ciudad, del país y del mundo. / A work of high quality that can be presented in different theaters and theater festivals in the city, the country and the world.

    - El fortalecimiento de un equipo intradisciplinario de trabajo artístico que pueda seguir produciendo obra en los diferentes medios en los que trabajan sus integrantes. / Strengthening of an interdisciplinary team and artwork that can keep producing in the long term in different media, based on the experience and background of its members.

      - Aportar al reconocimiento del títere como miembro mágico de la sociedad, con una nueva obra de títeres dirigida al público juvenil y adulto, en donde lo espiritual y místico es de suma importancia. / Provide recognition of the puppet  as a magic member of society, with a new puppet show aimed at young and adult audiences, where the spiritual and mystical is paramount.

     

- Ojalá promover la compasión (entendida como la empatía con todas las expresiones vivas del universo en pro de la eliminación del sufrimiento) en todos aquellos que se acerquen y vivan la experiencia de esta puesta en escena. /  We wish to promote compassion (understood as empathy with all living expressions of the universe towards the elimination of suffering) in all those who come and live the experience of this staging.
